Literature

The collective body of literary productions, embracing the entire results of knowledge and fancy preserved in writing; also, the whole body of literary productions or writings upon a given subject, or in reference to a particular science or branch of knowledge, or of a given country or period; as, the literature of Biblical criticism; the literature of chemistry.

The class of writings distinguished for beauty of style or expression, as poetry, essays, or history, in distinction from scientific treatises and works which contain positive knowledge; belles-lettres.

The occupation, profession, or business of doing literary work.

Literature had a lot of meaning but for me I chosen this as a symbol of literature. Because literature have a big impact on us. Literature help us to know our self better, in what way? for example by reading Bible, by the bible we will know what are the good things we must do in ourselves and in other people. In literature we can learned values that we can apply in ourselves. In this picture the letter or the word that surrounds to the man is the literature and by this word or letter we can know ourselves better.
